Providing pathways and scholarships for college.  Chad as a non profit organization assists in providing opportunities  to alter  the life  chances  of  low-income,  yet aspiring  students  through  a limited  number of academic scholarships.

Support The Chad Scholars Program

Your generosity enables the Foundation to increase access to higher education for deserving students in the Greater Newark Area.  Chad’s financial assistance has made it possible for outstanding Newark-area students to attend such colleges and universities as Boston College, Howard University, University of Virginia, the Rutgers College of Engineering, and Syracuse University.

    Since 2011, the Chad School Foundation has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships to Newark area college bound students. The annual Chad Scholar Awards celebrates the achievements of our scholarship recipients and contributions of community leaders whose work reflects a commitment to Newark's success. 

    For more than 50 years, Chad has demonstrated unprecedented leadership in promoting and providing culturally relevant educational opportunities. Chad values it partnerships with local leaders, community stakeholders, and other community-based organizations to ensure that young people can achieve their highest aspirations in education and in service to the community.
